ACMHN

CMHL had a strong presence at the 47th International Mental Health Nursing Conference in Melbourne. It was a great opportunity to connect with mental health nurses from Australia and New Zealand. Matt Ball's keynote on day two was a standout, the power of Just Listening. We enjoyed learning from the panel discussions, including Yarning About Cultural Safety chaired by the incredible Professor Rhonda Wilson.

We loved chatting to everyone who stopped by our booth and presented nine papers, including:

  • Building Mental Health Nurses workforce capability through the delivery of Train the Trainer programs, by Jo Stubbs
  • Delivering a free training calendar for the Victorian Public Clinical Mental Health Workforce, Jo Stubbs
  • Growing a responsive and pivotal workforce development organisation, Kylie Boucher
  • Conditions for co-production: A power sensitive, relational approach to centering lived experience in mental health, Lorna Downes (with Kath Sellick and Vrinda Edan)
  • Pioneering through authentic partnership. Developing training for nurses to understand and elevate lived experience workforces, by Mikhaila Dignam & Alison Hall & Lorna Downes
  • By ENs, For ENs: How Statewide Victorian EN Educators Are Building a New Way Forward, Shaina Serelson
  • Sharing Information for Child Wellbeing and Safety Application to Nursing Practice, Shaina Serelson
  • Mental Health Nursing in Victoria: Career pathways and opportunities in the reform environment, Shaina Serelson (as part of a panel)
  • Growing Our Workforce: Victorian Pre-qualification Employment Program, Emma Murrell (with Cathie Miller CentreMHN)
