Description

People with autism spectrum disorder experience social and communication impairments together with restricted repetitive speech, interests and behaviours, and unusual responses to sensory stimuli. These impairments can result in high rates of anxiety and frustration which can contribute to challenging behaviour. There is also a significant overlap with other mental and behavioural disorders. This webinar will provide an overview of the biomedical and psychosocial interventions and explores the evidence base for some of the more commonly used interventions (participants should have a basic understanding of autism to get the most out of this webinar).
