Description

This introductory workshop is designed to guide the clinical supervisee through the theoretical and practical fundamentals of clinical supervision. We will explore the key roles and responsibilities of the clinical supervisee, clinical supervisor and the organisation based on the five principles for effective supervision, as outlined in Clinical supervision for mental health nurses – A framework for Victoria (2018). You will be guided through a range of clinical supervision definitions, models, and formats as well as the critical importance of the clinical supervision relationship. Practical considerations are addressed – from choosing a clinical supervisor, to setting up clinical supervision, developing reflective practice skills and evaluation processes together with clinical supervision resources for nurses and midwives.

Please note: This course is currently scheduled to be delivered face to face at ANMF Victorian Branch, 535 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. Face to face delivery is subject to change dependent on the COVID-safe conditions and restrictions in place on the course delivery date.
