Description

Illustrating the concepts with case examples and video extracts, this workshop explores an approach to relationship counselling which integrates Neurobiology with Psychodynamic, Systemic and Integrated Behavioural Marital theories.

The presenter also shares ideas about working with the couple relationship when only one partner is present. The approach taken combines formal presentation with DVD demonstrations and case examples. There will be ample opportunity for participants to ask questions, make comments from their own experience, and to discuss workshop concepts in small group settings.

This event will cover:

  • Develop their thinking about problematic couple dynamics from an integrated theoretical perspective
  • Understand the implications of recent neuroscientific discoveries for couples therapy
  • Appreciate the challenges involved in working with couple difficulties when only one partner is present.
