Description

This two-day introductory workshop provides a thorough exploration of group supervision, as well as the opportunity to practise skills and increase confidence in facilitating and managing supervision with groups.

This event will cover:

  • To understand the different types of group supervision
  • To develop an overview of various formats and modalities appropriate to group supervision
  • To experience one model of a structured, cooperative group supervision process
  • To learn how to establish, set agreements, and close a group supervision arrangement
  • To consider group process and the stages of group development and adapt supervision accordingly
  • To gain an understanding of the skills involved in the provision of group supervision

Eligibility criteria

Helping professionals who have experience as supervisors and who are currently or soon-to-be facilitating group supervision. A foundational training in supervision is assumed. Those who have participated in the Bouverie Centre's 6 Day Clinical Supervision Training or equivalent are suitable to apply.
