Provides an understanding of evidence and trauma-informed approaches to community capacity building, to promote recovery in communities of CALD and refugee backgrounds impacted by torture and other traumatic events.

This event will cover:

  • Trauma-informed theories and frameworks for community capacity building
  • Integrating trauma-informed approach to community work
  • Evidence-informed interventions and their application in building the capacity of communities to promote recovery

Eligibility criteria

Practitioners involved in community capacity building work in communities from CALD and refugee backgrounds impacted by trauma; including bicultural workers, community liaison workers, community health workers, community development workers, education and early years professionals, community workers, social and youth workers, psychologists, counsellors, and those working in project and policy development roles including leaders and managers.
