Create meaningful conversations using your lived experience of mental health in a safe, effective way.

A 2 day interactive workshop looking at communicating your lived experience in a range of settings for a range of purposes using ethical frameworks.

At completion of this workshop, students should be able to:
- Clarify the context and purpose for using lived experience
- Determine boundaries of sharing lived experience and prepare aspects of their story
- Understand trauma, re-traumatisation and vicarious trauma; and implement strategies for prevention.
- Use lived experience to establish your work role
- Utilise a range of communication skills and strategies to establish rapport and maintain safe working relationships in relation to using your lived experience
- Support others to share their stories
- Utilise responsible self-care strategies.
