This workshop will focus on autism and ADHD in children 0-12 and adolescents (diagnosed in childhood)

Dr. Emma Sciberras is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and is currently working in the Developmental Assessment and Management Program (DAMP) at Alfred CYMHS. Emma is a honorary research fellow at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and is a leader in the area of ADHD research.

Associate Professor Daryl Efron is a Paediatrician at the Royal Children’s Hospital and a senior research fellow at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. He has a strong interest in neurodisability research and psychopharmacology. He is a recognised clinical and academic leader in developmental paediatrics.

This event will cover:

  • What is ADHD and how common is ADHD in autistic children and adolescents.
  • Key co-occurring features
  • Overview of assessment process for ADHD in the context of autism or autism assessment.
  • Best practice supports and practical strategies for ADHD and co-occurring autism.
