Description
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a semi-structured, standardised assessment of communication, social interaction, and play. It provides a series of standardised contexts in which the individual’s social, communication and repetitive, stereotyped behaviours can be observed. It has been designed to assist in the diagnosis of autism and pervasive developmental disordersand is suggested as a complementary instrument to the Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised (ADI-R). Standardised toys and activities are used to present opportunities for social and communicative interaction with the examiner. During these activities, observation of the individual notes the absence of presence of behaviours of interest. A diagnostic algorithm consistent with DSM-V and ICD-10 clinical diagnoses is generated.
This event will cover:
- Hands on administration of the ADOS-2
- Small group learning
- Intensive instruction about administration and coding
- Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided
Eligibility criteria
ADOS-2, a anyone using ADOS-2 in research.
*This workshop is planned to be in person, with preferential bookings for Victorians. If due to COVID-19 the workshop is unable to be conducted in person, participants will be provided a full refund.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required. Participants are requested to conduct a RAT test before each day of attendance.
