Self-directed online training

Event description

This course is a short introduction to using sensory modulation, especially in inpatient mental health settings.
The Centre for Psychiatric Nursing has designed this course for mental health nurses, but it may interest anyone who works in an inpatient setting.
Working with the senses can be a very practical and helpful way to support people to cope with distress, and it can contribute to recovery and healing.
This training supports staff to use the Little Bag of Calm, introduced with COVID restrictions. It will enhance everyday use of Calming Methods in Safewards.
The module includes a quiz.
