Occupational violence and aggression post-incident support: A training module for health service managers
The focus of this training program is to provide early support to staff following an incident of OVA.
While prevention and management of incidents is integral to reducing exposure to OVA and to minimising harm to healthcare workers, this will not be covered in detail in this training program. Other DHHS resources you should refer to include:

This session will cover:

- Post incident responsibilities of managers
- Early practical and emotional support
- Common reactions
- Self-care
- Promoting mental health awareness in the workplace
- Self-assessment

Eligibility criteria

This guide is intended for any person working in a Victorian healthcare setting who has responsibility for the health and safety of other staff. This may include directors, managers, team leaders, and supervisors.
