Welcoming Krystyn Smale and Lorna Downes to the CMHL team

We are pleased to advise that the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL) has two new staff. Many of you will already know Krystyn and Lorna (left & right in the pic respectively) as they have been pivotal in supporting consumer and carer workforce development in Victoria to date.
Krystyn holds the position of Consumer Workforce Development Coordinator and Lorna is Family/Carer Workforce Development Coordinator.

These statewide positions have been in place now for two years, working to build and strengthen lived experience workforces in Victoria. Previously the roles were hosted at St Vincent’s and then at the Centre for Psychiatric Nursing, Melbourne University, and have now transitioned to the CMHL.
The addition of lived experience workforce roles is core to the work of the CMHL; the collective expertise of the team, in unison with our strong collaboration with the sector, will stand us in good stead moving forward.
Please join us welcoming both Lorna and Krystyn to the CMHL, you will no doubt see them on service visits or involved in a number of other CMHL activities as we enter 2019.
