Equally Well aims to improve the quality of life of people living with mental illness by providing equal access to quality health care. 

The National Mental Health Commission has led the development of Equally Well in Australia to show a commitment to putting the health care of people living with mental illness and the rest of the population on an equal footing.

Equally Well Australia is hosting a symposium to highlight innovative practice and showcase excellence. Abstract submissions are now open.

The symposium will be held at the RMIT City Campus, Melbourne on 28 & 29 March 2019.

Whilst on the subject of physical health of people with mental health issues,the World Health Organization has released a new document Guidelines on management of physical health conditions in adults with severe mental disorders which covers smoking cessation, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other conditions.
