I am beyond excited to join CMHL as a LLEWs Projects Educator!

The journey into my career in Mental Health began in December 2022, when the role I had been employed in working for a bank for 11 years was made redundant and I wanted to use my experiences as a Carer to several family members living with mental health challenges.

I began working as a Family & Carer Peer Support Worker for the Mid-West Area Mental Health Service. I am passionate about providing a safe space for families to share their experiences and to use their feedback to help educate and collaborate with clinical staff on ways to create a better service for both families and Consumers.

Prior to joining CMHL, I was also a qualified Swim Teacher, teaching mostly children with special needs as well as adults.

I am also excited to start a new role as a Carer Consultant with Mid West Area Mental Health Service, which will further complement my role as a Projects Educator.

Outside of work, my little family and I can often be found at local festivals, events, and markets on weekends.

Also, water is my happy place, as is food (maybe not together!)
