Description

"The main objective of the training program is to increase participant knowledge, confidence and practical skills in the core competencies of mental health triage. Other objectives include embedding an evidence based framework for undertaking triage and crisis mental health assessment, and providing an opportunity for clinicians to exchange knowledge ideas and experiences of crisis and triage clinical practice.

The presenter, Natisha Sands, is a registered nurse and completed a PhD in nursing in 2003. She has previously been an Associate Professor of Nursing at Deakin University and an Honourary Principal Research Fellow with the Centre for Psychiatric Nursing, University of Melbourne. She is currently a co-director of Nurse Talk Consulting, providing consultation, curriculum design, training and research and evaluation.
