Description

The Occupational Therapy team at Forensicare readily seek to promote occupational engagement and maximise opportunities for all consumers to participate in meaningful occupations in a safe, therapeutic and person centred way- especially for those in restricted or solitary environments.
In recognition of the importance of occupational risk factors (such as deprivation, alienation and disruption) and the impact of the physical, institutional and social environments have not only on participation and engagement in occupations, but also on health and wellbeing- this presentation will support Occupational Therapists to consider how occupational therapy frameworks and processes can be used to enhance participation in occupations (including access to resources) with consideration to risk.
