Description

This two-day training aims to develop a skilled workforce that is better equipped to support people who experience co-occurring mental health and substance misuse issues. Participants will gain an understanding of the spirit of motivational interviewing (MI). A range of exercises and video material will be used in this training session.
The training will introduce participants to the four stages of MI, and the core OARS micro-skills (open-ended questions, affirmations, reflections and summaries). This training qualifies for 12 CPD points.
