CHAMPS and Space4Us Peer Group Facilitator Training

Description

CHAMPS and Space4Us are peer support groups that aim to help kids learn more about mental health and mental illness, while connecting with other young people with similar experiences and learning ways to cope with tricky times while having lots of fun.

This 3-day facilitator training will include theory and practical components. It will provide you with the skills and knowledge to facilitate the ‘Champs’ & 'Space4Us’ peer groups for children who have a parent/adult family member with a mental illness.

Eligibility criteria

This training is recommended for mental health clinicians, peer facilitators and community support workers who work with families where a parent has a mental illness and would like to facilitate groups for children.
