This topic builds on Recovery and is similarly informed by the experiences of those who have struggles with and triumphed over a mental illness. The topic describes the terminology and associated practice environments that support individuals in their recovery efforts and processes. As the terms are often used interchangeably, often without a clear understanding, the topic explains recovery and the work of recovery based practice, and differentiates these concepts from rehabilitation and biomedical approaches.
