The Centre of Psychiatric Nursing (CPN) team have been extremely busy. Not only are they preparing to hold their annual COLLAB Conference in November but they have also been developing some online, self-paced training.

The Sensory Modulation in Mental Health Settings is a short introduction to using sensory modulation, especially in inpatient mental health settings.

The course has been designed  for mental health nurses, but it may interest anyone who works in an inpatient setting. It supports staff to use the Little Bag of Calm, introduced with COVID restrictions. It will enhance everyday use of Calming Methods in Safewards.

The module usually takes just over an hour and includes a quiz.

Access the training here.
