(Currently on long service leave)
I have been nursing within public sector mental health for the last 35 years in various roles and programs. I pioneered as one of the first enrolled nurses to enter into a community position, followed by being the first EN to be employed in an educator role within mental health.
I am passionate about education and training in mental health, supporting the CMHL in workforce development to embed upskilling, leadership and knowledge.
In addition to my nursing qualifications, I have completed the Cert IV in Training and Assessment, an Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Practice in Mental Health and a Diploma of Management. I am proud to say I was awarded by NBA (now APHRA) the 2010 award in Nursing Excellence.
On a personal level, I’m a wife, a mum, and a grandmum. I love pottering in the garden, travelling, family, friends and eating out. For the last six years I have also volunteered at a local community kitchen on Monday night, providing meals for the vulnerable.
