Description
Autism spectrum disorder is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them. Problems with social interaction, odd and unusual behaviours and high rates of co-morbid mental health problems mean that many people with autism spectrum disorder are likely to come to the attention of mental health services. This webinar provides an introduction to the autism spectrum and an overview of the principles and problems of assessment and diagnosis.Format: The Webinars will consist of a 45 minute lecture followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. A chat function will also be available.
Delivery: The webinars will be delivered using the ZOOM platform. Registered participants will be sent a link by email to be able to join the session and will require access to a computer with audio-visual capacity.
