Description

Systemic issues that impact on managing people with intellectual disability and co-morbid mental disorders are considered and include topics such as human rights, legislation, professional factors as well as service structure and delivery. This includes a review of the ethical issues that may arise in the course of management.
ormat: The Webinars will consist of a 45 minute lecture followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. A chat function will also be available.
Delivery: The Webinars will be delivered using the ZOOM platform. Registered participants will be sent a link by email to be able to join the session and will require access to a computer with audio-visual capacity.




All these workshops employ a variety of learning strategies including lectures, exercises and discussions based on case examples. Attendees are expected to actively contribute and participate.

The workshops can be delivered locally on request (if there are sufficient numbers).

Eligibility criteria

Victorian Specialist Mental Health services staff.
There is no cost for staff employed within Area mental health services.
