Description

Identification and response to patients who show signs of clinical deterioration is a critical component of professional nursing and midwifery practice and ensuring patient safety. This course will strengthen your skills in recognising signs of deterioration using observation charts and the ISBAR communication tool and includes clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, decision making, time management, prioritisation of care, problem-solving and key communication challenges, particularly in relation to:
- changes in neurological status
- respiratory deterioration
- cardiovascular compromise.
This course has been designed for nurses working across a range of settings and with varying levels of expertise and experience.
