I am proud to have pioneered some of the first consumer-led groups on in-patient units in Victoria, and have significant experience in developing and delivering training to consumers, carers and clinicians. This includes an involvement in the Advanced Clinicians Training in Dual Diagnosis and Recovery.
I have a Diploma of Community Development from RMIT University, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment comprising Design and Develop assessment tools.
In my role as the Consumer LEW Leadership Development Officer, I am passionate about leadership and leading change for recovery. In particular, my aim is to improve understanding and cooperation between mental health consumers, clinicians and carers.
My key interests include dual diagnosis, music therapy, consumer peer work and relations, mentoring and training of the mental health workforce.
