Description

This on-line and full-day interactive and practical professional development training assists clinicians to understand the possibility that their clients who experience mental health and substance use/addiction may have experiences of childhood and/or other past or current trauma(s), which could be affecting their health, wellbeing, daily interactions and functioning.
This is a blended training package that includes three on-line modules (completion is a pre-requisite to attending the live session) and a live face-to-screen (F2S) session. It is interactive and practical professional development training designed to assist clinicians understanding of clients who experience mental health and substance use/addiction issues and the impact of experiences of childhood and/or other past or current trauma(s) on their health, wellbeing, daily interactions and functioning.

Eligibility criteria

This training is introductory and appropriate to a wide range of work roles. It covers basic clinical treatment options and puts trauma in a context that provides clinicians with a trauma-informed focus to better understand challenging emotions and human behaviour that clients who have mental health and substance use/addiction may present with.
