Description

Using a multi-modal approach, provide an introduction and overview of the Psychotropic Drug Advisory Service (PDAS) – a Victorian statewide specialist service based at Alfred Health.

This event will cover:
Scope and work of the Psychotropic Drug Advisory Service (PDAS), including some sample types of enquiries received.

Key themes and topics from the audience around use and management of various psychotropic medicines.

Provide a summary of psychotropic medicines information and resources available for patients, carers, families and clinicians to support and optimise medicines use in mental health.

Participants are asked at the time of registration to provide any medications that they would like to know more about.

Eligibility criteria

This is a free event designed for members of the public clinical mental health workforce in Victoria, (staff employed at Area Mental Health Services, Forensicare or mental health staff from RCH). For example, a social worker working in mental health at Austin Health. Staff from MHCSSs, ACCHOs, AOD or other partner organisations may also attend. Please note, if you do register for this event and it is not clear you are part of the intended audience, your registration will be confirmed two weeks prior to the event start date, or earlier.
