Description

NDIS has been with us in Victoria from 2017 and we are all still learning. The introduction of NDIS has been a significant and challenging change for consumers and families who access the public mental system. It has also been a huge change for clinicians who regularly support access and planning.

This webinar series will provide clinicians with up to date and advanced NDIS information as well as an opportunity to hear a panel discussion on each topic including Consumers/Mental Health Clinicians/NDIS Program Leads and External Subject Matter Experts.

The first webinar in the series will focus on the fundamentals of NDIS. All the tips and tricks you need to know as a clinician to support consumers access NDIS, get a good plan, implement the plan and support a review process. Patrick Cavanagh will provide a short presentation on core NDIS information.

This will be followed by a Panel discussion looking at key tips and tricks to support NDIS processors. The panel includes:
Patrick Cavanagh- NDIS Local Lead, Occupational Therapist and Case Manager at St Vincent’s Mental Health Service
Liam Macias- Senior Local Area Coordinator (LAC)- Brotherhood of St Laurence
Hamilton Kennedy- A participant of NDIS
Bronwyn Williams- Mental Health NDIS Program Lead at Eastern Health
At the end of this Webinar there will be an opportunity to ask the panel your questions.
