Description

Learn the standardised and structured approach used to describe a person's psychological functioning at a particular point in time.
A Mental State Examination is part of every mental health assessment and a vital skill for both clinicians and community staff. In learning how to relay the words and behaviours of people experiencing mental distress to other professionals and services, participants can feel more confident to assist those who may need support for their distress. It helps to make decisions in order to direct care and alert others to possible risks.

This event will cover:

  • What is a Mental State Examination?
  • Explore the different aspects of a Mental State Examination
