This event will cover:

  • • Provide an overview of the mental health promotion field
  • • Describe the major risk and protective factors that influence our mental health and wellbeing
  • • Examine the evidence around interventions to influence these factors and promote good mental health and prevent depression
  • • Define and discuss key concepts relating to the promotion of mental wellbeing and the prevention of mental health conditions
  • • Explore the mental health policy issues that need to be addressed to embed mental health promotion within the MH system
