Description

‘It’s OK to complain!’
The MHCC will be launching the ‘It’s OK to complain!’ campaign in collaboration with Victoria's public mental health services to drive a positive complaints culture. The campaign has been designed in consultation with public mental health services as well as consumers and carers with lived experience.
The purpose of the campaign is:
To address the stigma around speaking up and making a complaint in the public mental health system.
To drive a positive complaints culture where complaints play a vital role in driving service improvements.
To ensure that consumers and carers speak up and share their lived experience through complaints when necessary.
The campaign also aims to use materials such as posters, postcards, videos and social media content to engage with staff, consumers and carers from a range of backgrounds. These materials will be distributed to services across Victoria to raise awareness and tackle stigma, in recognition that complaints are an important part of continuous service improvement as we work towards a better system for the future.
