Description

A half day interactive workshop aimed at education about mental illness and suicide; providing skill development to allow people to confidently respond when they encounter people in distress. A course for anyone wanting to understand mental illness and learn how to respond to people who may be experiencing distress.

This event will cover:

  • What is mental illness
  • General impacts of mental illness
  • History and stigma
  • Understanding suicide
  • Communication skills
  • The mental health service system
