Description

Day 1: Focusing on Reflective Practice as a Supervisee
The focus of the introductory day 1 workshop will be to:
Demystify what is and is not clinical supervision
Identify and practice reflection using experiential activities
Provide an opportunity to understand our core qualities which will influence our selection of a clinical supervisor
Prepare participants for engaging in clinical supervision as a supervisee

Day 2: Establishing the Structure & Processes for Clinical Supervision
The focus of the introductory day 2 workshop will be to:
Engage in the first meeting and negotiate the needs of the supervisee
Identify the core components included in a clinical supervision session
Define the characteristics of a clinical supervision relationship
Provide further opportunity to practice reflection

Eligibility criteria

This is a free event designed for, and delivered by, nursing staff within the public clinical mental health workforce in Victoria, (staff employed at Area Mental Health Services, Forensicare or mental health staff from RCH). If allied health staff choose to attend, they must take into consideration their own discipline's requirements and standards regarding supervision.
Note: this training is not intended for the Lived Experience Workforce.
