Description

While clinicians continue to establish telehealth and online approaches to replace face-to-face service provision, there is an awareness of the increased risk posed by perpetrators of family violence during these times. Home for many, is the site of control, abuse and even violence from a partner or family member.

So how do we recognise when a client who seeks support from AOD services may be using family violence? What does safe practice look like? How do we maintain engagement with clients who use family violence?

Join Turning Point and No To Violence to discuss working with people who use family violence during COVID-19. Claudia Fletcher from No To Violence will discuss the common presentations of people who use family violence, specific behaviours and attitudes that you may hear within calls with clients, and best practice responses to support the safety of all. If you have a specific question or topic that you would like to see covered in the webinar, please enter it at registration or you can also turn up live on the day and submit your question through the chat feature.
