Description

This training aims to provide a comprehensive grounding in the complexities of Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment. Following the training you should be able to identify symptoms of ASD in the clients you see and refer appropriately for further assessment. Alternatively, you may wish to enrol in further training in ASD assessment such as ADOS-2, ADI-R or 3di. This workshop is a prerequisite to enrolling in the ADOS-2 workshops offered at Mindful. Prior to the training, you will be sent an email with pre-reading materials, the full schedule, and information about the venue. Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided.

This event will cover:

  • Case assessments: Preschool, School-Aged and Adolescent
  • ASD developmental history taking
  • Differential diagnosis and co-morbidities
  • Formulation of complex cases
  • Providing feedback to families
  • Guidelines for report writing

Eligibility criteria

This training is for Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatric Nurses, Paediatricians, Advanced trainees in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry,CYMHS employed Psychiatry Registrars, CYMHS clinicians, Headspace clinicians and Paediatric Fellows
