Description

For all our ADOS-2 courses at Mindful there is a prerequisite training required - the ASD Assessment Fundamentals, 2 day workshop. At Mindful our training is supported by Department of Health and Human Services and our mandate is to provided high quality ASD training that is accessible and affordable for clinicians, particularly those working in CAMHS/CYMHS.

As our ASD training calendar is designed for mental health clinicians working with complex clients, we have made the ASD Assessment Fundamentals a prerequisite to the ADOS-2 training as it covers all the components of a comprehensive ASD assessment. The ADOS-2 is one component of an ASD Assessment and we would like to ensure that all clinicians attending have a broad understanding of the complexities of ASD assessment.

After you've registered
Prior to attending the workshop, you will be sent a pre-course information pack. This will contain information about the venue, options for purchasing ADOS-2 materials, and some reading materials. You will be provided with the web links to watch two ADOS administrations. These videos must be watched on line and are not able to be down loaded or shared with others. These ADOS administrations are with typically developing children and will help to set a baseline as you develop your ADOS skills. You will also be provided with a copy of the notes and codes written by the administrator. We recommend you have access to an ADOS-2 Kit and
manual.
