Description

This workshop will address various challenges of this work, by sharing current knowledge and clinical experience, and providing opportunity to try out developmentally appropriate resources to support clinical work. Participants will receive a copy of the manual "Working with Young People with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Comorbid Mental Disorders".
Clinicians are strongly recommended to bring a case to the seminar for discussion and treatment planning.

This event will cover:

  • Identifying and talking about features of ASD with young people.
  • Differentiating between ASD and symptoms of a comorbid mental disorder
  • Modifying treatment for young people with ASD
  • Applying intervention skills through use of ASD manual worksheets
