AOD use within LGBTI Communities – Cultural Sensitivity Training - Part 1
Presenters: Ren Grayson and Stephen Borg
Wednesday 19th June, 9:30am - 4:30pm
This cultural sensitivity workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the unique drivers, complexities and risk factors of problematic substance use for LGBTI communities. Participants will gain a broader understanding of best practice in establishing safe and affirming practices, as well as increased knowledge of the context of substance use for particular cohorts of LGBTI communities. The workshop will also improve participants' confidence and techniques in working with these communities and provide strategies on how to create an LGBTI culturally sensitive workplace.
